HONORING THE LEGACY OF DR. LOUIS A. PECK
Welcome
Dr. Louis A. Peck was a gifted artist, outstanding educator, and inspirational mentor to the many students whose lives he directly and indirectly influenced in his career.
Dr. Peck was without a doubt the founding figure in the growth and development of the ‘Art Department’ at Boise Junior College, Boise College, Boise State College and Boise State University.
Over his four-decade career he guided, staffed and led the then one-person Art Department to prominence, while recruiting and hiring 37 art professors along the way. He retired in 1989 and passed away on October 26, 2005.
This is his life, legacy and art.

Dr. Peck Projects
Our current Legacy projects are to publish and promote his art through this website.
We’re also archiving, cataloging and preserving Dr. Peck’s unique art through the use of high quality, high resolution electronic digital scanning. This will allow us to create museum quality reproductions for sale for public and private collections.
Additionally, we are working on an upcoming book covering Dr. Peck’s long legacy. It will feature comments and fond memories from his former students and associates as well as many images from his lifetime of painting.
